I just got my iPod and I am anxious to start downloading music to my iPod. I have a windows system and it recognizes it but when I try to download music to my iPod I cant see it or play it.
Is this something that you have had a problem with. You are not alone. This is a common theme with new iPod owners that are anxious to start playing their music. The problem is that yes your windows system will see the iPod when you connect it with your usb cord. But windows only see it as a hard drive. Another problem is that the place were the music need to be downloaded to on the iPod is hidden to windows or any operating system. The only software that is able to see it is iTunes. So, in order to download music to your iPod you need to have iTune installed on your system and you have to work through it.
